You mean there aren't any tarp trial runs in Town Park during the beer and oyster festival on Tuesday?

You can practice all you want in Town Park but the tarp run takes place inside the festival! It's like playing touch football in the Super Bowl's parking lot (not that I'm calling TP a parking lot  :))

Jailhouse Rock!

I used to blow lunch on the sidelines before every rugby game for 13 years. (mostly bacon cheeseburgers!) Although the butterflies aren't quite as bad for the tarp run, I still get the same adrenalin rush when I hear those bagpipes and have to turn on the afterburners!

Training! Evil What stinkin' training! Evil We're throwing all you virgins to the wolves! Evil After rumballs on Wednesday night, you're in for a treat!

Oh, and Hope. Now what all is it I have to do to move to the next level? No matter. I'm happy where I am...just happy I have moved up a notch.
More than likely going over to Orvis to catch some rays and a soak, if the weather is nice, before oysters, if you care to join.  Wink

"Small Member Rob" Cheers

1. I'm wearing my suit.
2. How much?
3. Leaving just after breakfast and leaving the FestiVirgins with the dishes so we can be back in Town Park for the Home Brew Tasting???

You have 58 posts at the moment. You need 42/43 more posts before your "Small Member Status" can rise to the next level....

...and for any of the newbies: One must ALWAYS follow a statement like the above with the following....

 Evil  Shut Up Ron!!!!  Evil

It's just how it is around these parts............ and again  Evil SUR!  Evil

Beer tasting on the Tuesday ? Isn't this a little tricky for those who only arrive at altitude that morning ? Is there an area where you pile us up for resusitation ?

Enough Questions ?  Rolleyes Rolleyes Rolleyes

1. Suits are optional. Don't go if you are afraid of seeing a "Small Member".
2. $10 for a quick soak (1 hr) and $14 for more than an hour.
3. Remind me the time the tasting starts. 2pm sticks in my head, but I might be wrong. But yes, we want to be back for that and if Jailhouse is helping with food again this year for oysters, Tom and I need to think about that.

It is a great spot and a neat drive. Maybe Monday or Wednesday might be better. Welcome whenever Tom and I decide to venture over.

Festival!  :hop :hop :hop :hop :hop :hop :hop :hop :hop

Knowing that it is the summer solstice, is it possible to visit Orvis at night to take in a bit of stargazing?  Not sure of the hours at Orvis or how long it stays light in that part of the world at the particular time of being.   :bubbles
