I am curious to know if there's picking/playing for songs by Yonder, The Avett Brothers, and Nickel Creek. I am a guitar beginner and I'm starting to play some basic rhythm guitar songs from those bands.

I found the following songs are relatively kind to a beginner.  :)

Yonder:

 - Catch a Criminal
 - Left me in a Hole
 - Mothers Only Son

Avett Brothers:

 - Shame
 - Paranoia in B Minor
 - The Weight of Lies
 - Die Die Die

Nickel Creek
 - Jealous of the Moon
 - Somebody More like You

If I get me enough Crunchy Frog I may just give it a shot!  pickin Drunk Will I be playing to crickets?  LOL

The song Mossy Cow by Yonder is a GREAT beginners bluegrass song. I believe it's on the album "elevation". For the most part the song just runs through the standard key of G. Try playing it slower than normal and work your way up to SUPER SPEED.
It's a great warm up/ learning bluegrass style tune.
