Our (UK) Bluegrass Festivals are a little thin on the ground to say the least - but they tend to be quite traditional so you'll struggle to walk past a picking session without hearing Whisky Before Breakfast, St. Anne's Reel, Blackberry Blossom, Fox on the Run etc.

Anybody fancy giving a shot at a what typical Telluride pickin' top 10 might sound like?

We might just have to learn some new tunes for the trip.  Wink

 Cheers

Sounds like you've got a good start! Thumbs Up
Not being a picker myself, I'll wait for them to respond since I just love the music. Cheers

That's another big difference Tom (I think a Mayor is addressed as 'Your Worship' in England, you must correct me if Tom is too informal)  EEK!

You seem to have lots of music lovers out to really enjoy the music, whereas in the UK, almost everybody at the Bluegrass festivals and gatherings are players as well.

It's fantastic until you make a mistake, then it's a musician's worst nightmare!  LOL LOL LOL

.... and you say us Brits are bad?  huh Wink

I'd figured that Mayor was an honorary thing    'Your Worshipfulness.'

You're all gonna have to work harder on understanding British humour.  I'll start awarding points for those who spot the 'tongue in cheek' comments but here's an easy one to start with.  Wink

I work hostel. That kind of goes along with the statement "I stay hostel", which I hear on a weekly basis from the english challenged, not to be confused with the (Bluegrass) challenged English.

I get it more than you could ever know, my friend. Let me help you out there with your posting......

Auntie Hope = 50 points  LOL

OUCH Auntie, that hurts!  You know my feelings about The Station Inn.

I'd love to see Ashby Frank with The Mashville Brigade & you can see them every Tuesday night.... so lucky.  Rolleyes
