Praying for some Allison Kraus and Robert Plant, Tony Furtado, Steve Martin, Government Mule, Ricky Skaggs, Darrell Scott and/or Leftover Salmon.

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood are in the area: St. Paul on the 18th  Omaha on the 19th and Denver on the 21st....Lets see some Telluride on the 20th...anybody with me?
Please no. Clapton will mean the rest of the band. The rest of the band means Doyle Bramhall IIIrd.  Winwood /Clapton as a duo I'd happily sit through. In fact, Stevie Winwood singing the Yellow Pages would keep me happy.

John Hiatt was supposed to be available about this time.

That's what I'm thinking; it would be epic and legendary all wrapped in a pita of amazing!!!!! I'm hoping to get to see them at The Gorge in May, but seeing them at Telluride would be WAY cooler!!!! Cheers

Gosh, it's hard keeping my mouth shut on this thread... Wink

Lots of great ideas here.  Lots of bands we've love to see in the future.  But not many correct guesses.  In fact, just one...

Greensky Bluegrass   Thumbs Up

We'll post the complete lineup late tonight at bluegrass.com/telluride/lineup.html

In the meantime, here's some cool news to tide you over: Elvis Costello's stellar acoustic band, The Sugarcanes, is going to include: Jim Lauderdale, Jerry Douglas, Mike Compton, Stuart Duncan, Dennis Crouch, and Jeff Taylor.  I absolutely can't wait for that set on Friday night...

Cheers,
Brian

Been playing Almost Blue all weekend in the hope that we get something from that album. Or 'Psyco'. Would love to hear that with The Sugarcanes.

Just when I think I couldn't love you people more you go and present something like this! Wahoo! And it's great to hear Greensky will be back.

How about a little solo time for Ben Sollee? That album has been getting some very heavy rotation here. In fact, Sam says it's his favorite of all time. He may only be five but the kid knows how to pick em.

I agree! Ben and Adam set would be sweet to, their version on Spanish Bombs brought tears to my eyes.

The Decembrist dont have anything except bonarro the weekend before. They could come over with Elvis and Byrne!

(just throwing out crazy suggestions just in case im right, i would fell so cool)

Ben Sollee and Ben and Adam would be two different things.  Ben Sollee is a cellist.  Neither set would be frowned upon though :).
