Hi All,  Wave

It's our first time at Telluride, I took one look at the line up, yelped 'Oh my God'
and toppled of the chair! Lol

Ah, is that a well known thing then?!?

You see, I might sound english, but I've only spent a total of 5 years of my life in the UK, so most sayings and cultural references are lost on me...

I might be totally missing the plot right now!

Your right Mark it is in Manchester, it's very well known Lalagay, the only problem is there isn't enough Bluegrass music up this way, It's a shame  as we have some of the best venue's in the country, Bridgewater hall is a fantastic place for acoustics, I saw Emmylou there last year, she was amazing.  Clap

If we're this ecstatic now I wonder how we're going to cope as the days pass and TBF gets closer,  Wink

Where were you before the UK?

I'm officially english, with a british passport and english parents, and I was born in London, but I left when I was 3 years old and spent the rest of my life in the south of France. I moved back to the UK a year and a half ago.
Bluegrass doesn't seem to be readily available in the UK, but in France it's practically non existant! You have small communities of people who are real bluegrass fans dotted around the country, but coming accross them is like finding a gold mine! The average french citizen doesn't know what you're talking about if you mention Bluegrass...  Frown
I suppose this explains my enthusiasm on this forum: apart from my dad, I've never known anyone with who I could rant about Bluegrass for hours on end...  Wink
So it's great to meet you guys!  Cheers

Hello
looking on with interest with the hope of making the fest next year. I recently became single again after a long relationship and looking for funtimes with new friends male and female of my own(and not joint friends of my ex). I am developing a taste for bluegrass and  a chance to experience such a fantastic sounding fest would be a dream come true.
