That flettened third will kind sorta sound sour if you don't warn anyone, otherwise you look like your preparations are going just fine.

So, if I nod in an exaggerated fashion when I feel a flattened 3rd coming on..that'll be ok? Trouble is, it's not always apparent to me when it's going to happen, is that a problem?

Tony, Tony, Tony (said in the style of "Oh Tim!")

If you're just throwing in a flattened third, it's going to give it a minor flavour which will sound odd or even wrong against a major chord progression.

Now if you want to add flavour .. or is that flavor in the US? you might want to play a few 'blue' (or worried) notes but that means flattened third, fifth and sevenths. Listen to some Bill Monroe to hear how it should be done .... or me to hear how it shouldn't.

By TBF, I'm sure that you will have the rest of the campsite watching in disbelief (take it whichever way you want).  Wink LOL

Listen, after yesterday, it's questionable whether I need to learn any flattened 3rds, 5ths or sevenths. In fact, by 4pm I was going to have two hands free as I board the plane! Frown

I don't use the H-Bomb so don't worry about it, and on that note.. the 420 is just an honor thing for me. I tend to stay up wind and keep an eye on the youngin's!  Thumbs Up
