Pardon if this is a repeat thread: I looked for another with this topic and I'm not seeing one, so...

Anyway. We rented a condo for this year's fest and we're sharing with two other couples: the problem is that we're all driving separate cars from different parts of the country and I just found out that our condo only has ONE parking spot for THREE cars. I've heard there's a lot at the end of town that we can park in -- two years ago we were at the Double Diamond and there was a lot across the street that (I THINK) all you needed was a Town Park "pass" to park in. We're much closer to Town Park this year but I don't mind parking my car elsewhere: Does anyone know the best place I can ditch my car somewhere safe in town while we're at TBF?

Thanks,
Zack

We're booked on Warner but just want to park the car up in a lot.

Do we need a parking ticket for the lots before we arrive ?

Condo folks get "TOWN access permits"... These are NOT the same as TOWN PARK VEHICLE PASSES.. Please do not confuse the two... You ONLY Need a Town Park VEHICLE pass if you plan on sleeping in your vehicle in TP.  If you are camping in TP, there is some parking along the street and other parking lots in town and mountain village that can be used by town park campers. You do not need a vehicle pass just to park your car in one of these lots. TOWN PARK VEHICLE PASSES  are VERY rare and please consider selling yours if you have one for some of the folks that need one in Town park due to medical concerns, differently abled, newborn babies etc...

Here's the skinny:

Talk to the condo about the number of vehicle passes they will give you. You might be able to get a couple (obviously at least one) pass to get into town and to park.

If you are unable to get additional passes, we offer free festival parking in various lots in and around Telluride. We have some lots in town, but the majority of our parking is up in Mountain Village (there's just not a lot of room in the teeny tiny town). Where you park is completely relative to when you arrive, and how many people/cars have arrived before you.

"Town Park passes" you guys are talking about are not what you are looking for. You need "barricade passes" in order to have access to long term jaunts beyond the barricade into town. Without them, your car will be towed.

Does that help? Flower

When you arrive in Telluride show your Condo reservation conf. letter to pass the baracade, they will grant a temp. pass.
Check in and get your pass, unload and go get yer buddies car(don't forget your parking pass),,, unload, repeat,,,,,last load everyone drives to the TBF free parking but 1 car for condo parking.
