There are those that would agree with "never again" . Last spring met with some promoters who have their bluegrass festival ( The Argyle festival) in a church. www.argylebluegrassfestival.com
No alcohol or smoking. Seating provided.

That festival sounds a little restricted to me.
Helps to come prepared.

We should send this link to Oncewasenough.....this sounds like it might serve his family's needs better.  They can still enjoy bluegrass music and do so in an environment where they will feel more comfortable.

I hope he is still watching this thread....

See everything really does work out!

Part of me wants to send Oncewasenough links to a nice mellow festival where he and his family might have a good time, and just wish him well.  Wave  But if he can complain about Telluride like he did…  I mean c’mon… the sound was bad????...  and we stink and are dusty.  huh  I’ve been to festivals that are actually like that, and still had a good time.   Cheers   I don’t think he’d be happy anywhere.  Mad  So I think I’d rather just mail him someone’s stinky underwear…  Evil  But I can’t send my own since I don’t own any.  Any volunteers?  LOL

It also sounds like Grey Fox might be more up "Never Again's" alley!

I used to be a regular at Grey Fox... well actually Winterhawk.  And boy did the sound suck there a few years, and usually it was Swelterhawk or Rainyhawk, and one year we camped at the bottom of the hill, 'cause it was Muddyhawk... (but mostly Swelterhawk, except for the year it was Windyhawk)... but we always had a really good time.   And there were plenty of stinky people there for sure who liked to pick all night long.  Not that there's anything wrong with skipping a few showers when at festival and making music til the sun comes up...  I think Never Again would complain that the ice in his lemonade is too cold.  It just amazes me given that every year I've gone to Telluride, I've met up with some of the same old friends, but also always met a bunch of new friendly people that become friends ... So it's hard to believe that anyone could have such a bad time.   Maybe aliens abducted him and replaced his memories! Flyer   Alright... back to the underwear... that was a funner topic!

oh come on man, every now and then there comes along someone that just has to stir up $#!t. we are all a bunch of happy, fun loving, folk that share a love for something special. we can't expect those that live such sheltered lives, to understand. It's obvious this person is out of tune, he's concerned about explaining the realities of life to his children. let's hope being the world traveler he is, he takes his time and shares the world , all of the world , with his kids and they grow up to be better for it. if he can't find a way to explain the odors of a festival, we can only hope he can find a way to explain the differences between  cultures?  I've said it here before a few times, these are the people we should feel for, they are so far removed from the reality of life that they don't recognize it when they see it?  I think I heard somewhere that it skips a generation?   we hope to see your kids back soon,  Wink
