I might add, were you really there? Doesn't sound like it.

I don't know what you did wrong, but you're the only one in tens of thousands of people that I know of that would not want to attend the Telluride Bluegrass Festival again and again after their first time.

All I can say is.... peace be with you. Flower

I thought it was a ruse to get less people to sign up for the lottery.

I wonder what other festival ( out of the hundreds) he thinks is better

I'm always nervous that my name won't get drawn and that everyone else here secretly hates me

may I just say I secretly love you?  In a strictly heterosexual way... ahem.  How bout them bears?

I never met you last year but i kept seeing this lampshade walking around with a person under it and thought it was fantastic.

In the summer of 2008 I enjoyed what must be one of the best times of my life.  It was my first Telluride.  Town Park camping was amazing, and it was the people surrounding me that made it such a great experience.  I cannot wait to go again this year!  I LOVE YOU ALL, FESTIVARIANS!!

had to add my 2 cents to this one.

It is obvious this is part of the intergalactic struggle that has been happening
for many moons.  "We the people", are all part of the extraterrestrial organization and the
bozo that had a bad time is part of the alien invasion here on earth.
It's an old struggle, et's trying to live peacefully, whatever planet they are on, and the
aliens trying to create chaos and disrupt harmony...........
It is all well documented in the book E.T. 101, co-created by Mission Control and Zoev Jho

so, yes, this guy should not return to our peaceful paradise Flower

The festival in Telluride is wonderful.
Any activity you choose to be part of is what you make it.  There were wonderful activities and music for the kids but it sounds like you didn't explore any of that.
I don't know if you had a fight with your wife that morning, or were pissed off at your boss, or what had put you in a foul mood, but it seems like you already had a bug up your butt before you even set foot in town park.  I'm gonna guess that you did little or no research beforehand or you would have had at least an idea of what to expect.
The people who attend this festival are a huge extended family, and this is a reunion of sorts.  I just feel bad for your kids, who probably could've had a great time if you had let them.
It is expensive, I'll give you that.  But to say all the "seating areas" are taken, well what did you expect?  It is not a concert hall. It IS one of the premier festivals in a beautiful setting by a clear mountain river in a spectacular box canyon where the music resounds off the canyon walls.
(Most) People are happy here.  We sing, we dance, we play music, we eat good food, we care for the Earth, we make new friends every year, we ooh and ahh over the new babies, we cheer for the musicians, we laugh, we wear tie-dye, we drink, we smoke, we sit by the waterfall, we celebrate the communal joy of being lucky to be in Telluride, and we LIVE.  Do you? I can only shake my head in dismay.  Sorry you were so disappointed, but I'm not sorry that you won't be coming back.
