If a banjo player picks in the woods, and no one is there to hear him.... is he still making an awful lot of noise?

After seeing Donna The Buffalo last night, I'd like to see 'em close Friday night. Also throw in Jim Lauderdale, The Gourds, Bobby Bare, Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, Chatham County Line, Bonnie Price Billy and some Creole/Zydeco of Cedric Watson.

 Cheers

I love Neko in a small venue, but when she played Telluride she didn't fill up that big space. Of course if she does play Telluride again and I have tickets I'll be front and center.

All I want is the normal case of characters, and no loud rock and roll.  But Head for Hills I think has earned a spot somewhere in that festivals. My favorite local band.

I said it once before, but I'll say it again (since a local band was mentioned)...

~ Headline Bluegrass Band (from Az)

These boys are on fire!!!
~ Their banjo player, Tyler Walls is the banjo king! Just this past weekend, he won the 2008 Wickenburg Bluegrass Festival Banjo Contest..  AND back in July, he also took first place in the 2008 Rockygrass Banjo Contest!!!
~ The band as a whole won first place in both Pickin in the Pines AND the Tucson Bluegrass Festival Band Contests!!!

Not to mention, Nate (aka Cletus) plays a pretty mean upright bass..

PBG, please snatch these guys up before they hit the big time!!
