My best new favs for 2009:  Paolo Nutini (what a great new artist-must see him again),  Carolina Chocolate Drops (saw them at Merlefest-good stuff), Seven Nations (not really bluegrass, but fantastic Celtic bag-rock), Yonder Mountain String Band (now there's BLUEGRASS!), Donna the Buffalo and Railroad Earth (Merlefest again).

The Abrams Brothers. I caught these guys last month in North Carolina. Fine young players, oldest member is 18, I believe.

I got to see Tom T. Hall in concert when I was 4 years old!  As far as I know, he is alive.  He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in June.

Here's another article from January of last year:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/13/arts/music/13hime.html

I know it is a stretch, but I thought I'd put his name out there.

Thanks, Tom.. By reading the lyrics, I can tell it's a funny song!! Too bad that when I try to 'Listen now', it plays the song "I Love" instead!!

 Cheers
