Hey folks it's almost here.  Flagstaff Arizona's Pickin in the Pines is coming up in only a few weeks: The Del McCoury Band, Nashville Bluegrass Band, Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike with Becky Buller, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Steve Smith and Hard Road, and

Word on the street is you are up against the DukTape Dudes! D-Money is on the banjo (duh), Blaze is gettin' pretty good on that harmonica, and DukTape Elvis has just picked up the kazoo.

Has anyone told you that DTM and Blaze are pretty much deaf? They have been spending WAY too much time in front of those speakers. Or maybe it could actually be selective listening?
"hey dtm can you turn it down a bit?" response: nothing
"hey blaze i have tequila are you thirsty?" response: need I tell you????

That was Pete Kartsounes and friends.  I'm huge Neil Young fan, so last year Pete started the 1st annual Neil Young set during Tuesday Toe Jobs at Tiki - this past year in addition to the 2nd Annual Neil Set, Pete added the 1st annual Dead Set - so he'll be there next year too!

Hey - Pete is coming to Flag for his B-Day in Oct 17th to play at Flagbrew and the Gravy boys etc. You should come. Although aren't you in Tuscon? He'll be down there most of the winter playing local gigs. You can get his scheudule online - google his name.
