Not on the property.

Oskar Blues will have Spring Creek on Friday and The Packway Handle Band (Rockin) Saturday and Sunday.

Plus, "Pete Kartsounes & Friends" are playing a Kids With Cancer benefit at Oskars on Thursday night.  Since that's the end of Academy week, and since we can safely assume Pete has some great friends in town that week, this is probably a show to see.

It's awesome that Pete is participating in such a deservng cause!  My daughter is only just beginning to see the bills roll in from the little nugget's surgeries and treatment.  Even though she is covered by insurance, the patient responsibility portion is staggering to this young family.

Please contribute to causes like this in your areas.  I sat in the surgery waiting room, and watched a doctor try to explain, via an interpreter, the difference in treatment in normal situations and the situation this uninsured family was in.  It was heartbreaking and the memory still brings tears to my eyes.

I hope to see you at Oskars on Thursday night!

There is a nice article on Pete K. in today's Daily Camera, including
his gig tonight at the b.side Lounge (formerly Trilogy) and
his upcoming hike for charity:

This area is blessed to have people like Pete as our local musicians.

Hello planet,  I really like seeing music at the brewery in lyons and spring creek bluegrass.  But I am wondering why the new pavillion has not really been used for " aftershows" for rockygrass,  or why there was no spring lineup there,  when it is such a great spot for pickin.   Is it a noise issue with the town?  I  think a sweet "moongrass" schedule @ the pavillion could really put rockygrass  over the top as far as festies go!!   I just wish there was more of an oppurtunity to enjoy the wildflower pavillion!!   Anyways, cant wait for some friends and pickin on "THE PLANET!!!"
