I never could have imagined all this discussion would come from my one little post about the "Hambush".  BUT! I absolutely love it, and I can't wait to have some bacon with some of ya'll at Four Corners Folk Festival in Pagosa over Labor Day.
Bacon! Bacon! Bacon! I love that commercial for the beggin' strips that Tom mentioned earlier. Every time I hear it come on I laugh and think of dear Hooch.

Never under-estimate the power of bacon to launch an endless thread of conversation.  Bet this thread becomes the longest thread ever in the history of the forum.  Why I bet someday our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will carry on the worshipful litany on bacon.  Sociologists many millenia from now will mine the archives of this very thread intent on understanding the source of the Bacon Enlightenment we started her - nah You....You Cindy Lou - started with one corny hambush joke.

There was Buddha, Mohammed, Joseph Smith and Cindy Lou.  But our sacred worship of bacon is far more than some stupid dummy believe what we say or we'll kill you religion.  Ours is based on community....excess....hedonism.....and ritual.

Nice job Cindy gettin' er started!

I was saving them for her on our second Colorado trip of the summer to a cabin above lake Irwin.... Unfortunately a bear got the ice chest with her pig ears and lamb bones. She ran that nasty beast off in a fit of barking and leaping and become the heroine of the day.
