The 1988 New Grass Revival show was my first Telluride Bluegrass, I seem to remember a blue UFO hovering over the stage, but it might have been the mushrooms.

I was there as well. Got a tiny bit toasted and was so tired the next day. Pace learned to pace the party right from thr get go.

I can hear my screams! So funny!

I remember that the next set after New Grass in 1988 was Peter Rowan and the Free Mexican Airforce and that I wasn't at all prepared for how cold it would get, we didn't have this forum to warn us newbies. I had to find a warm bar up town and found the Fly me to the Moon.

Love that place! OMG Johnny Cash NEXT. This has to be the most memorable set ever.
