On top of everything else, I just saw that Chris Thile's show Live From Here has been canceled by Minnesota Public Radio due to budget constraints.

It feels like way too much is laying fallow this year. Fingers crossed that we'll all be together for live music in town park for the 2021 solstice.

Every Sunday morning lo these months, I work on my covid jigsaw puzzle, a mountain and ranch scene "in the San Juan mountains near Telluride, CO" while listening to Live From Here.  Seems really weird that we're not in Telluride, and this Sunday my plan was to finish the puzzle -- a little sky, a little shaded mountain scree, a little bit of field -- while listening to Chris and company, and it won't happen.  I think I'll leave it with the blank spaces.

Sigh...that feels about right. There are some holes in the San Juans right now where all of us festivarians should be!
