Now 2 confirmed cases in Tulsa (my hometown). Still business as usual, we road bikes to my sons school fundraiser pizza dinner. Just use common sense. Wash don't touch, wash, don't high five, wash, wash wash. If you are in the at risk group chill at home and couch tour a bit. Even without a vaccine or cure, things will be in control, or the shit will have hit the fan, either way I prefer to expect we'll be chugging crunchy flip flops sooner than later! Peace and love, wash and repeat.

The last four confirmed cases in my tiny state in Australia ( last two days) are all people who have literally just arrived home from being in the  US. Not Iran, China or Italy but the USA. I’m sorry but I honestly believe there is widespread transmission in US which is not being detected because of the lack of testing. Todd is right, wash hands constantly after contact. Avoid people if you are unwell.

While most people will be fine lots won’t. Reducing transmission is our best defence right now.

We need to be a global community looking out for each other.

Stay safe my wonderful Festy family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'd like to know what the Planet is thinking, doing etc... MerleFest just made a statement about the efforts they are putting in place to be able to go ahead with the festival under current conditions. Maybe Covid-19 isn't contractable above 8,00ft! See you all in June!!!!

Yes it is - there are numerous cases in Switzerland Italy including Alpine regions. Hasn’t Colorado declared a state of emergency?

Apparently, the Colorado Governor just declared a state of emergency.

As to altitude:  I offer that it might exacerbate some underlying medical conditions; perhaps rendering some people more vulnerable to complications if they do in fact contract corona.

Personally, I've had a more difficult time contending with altitude in recent years and also learned that my cardio/pulmonary system isn't up to speed contending with wildfire smoke.   I also have Hashimotos which is an autoimmune disease (hypothyroid) and seem to often have prolonged bouts of sickness.  Not sure what factor is most responsible, but know that I need to be careful.   To this end, I unloaded my String Duster's ticket at the Opera House this past Saturday, which really hurt!

Flower virtual hug to you AF!

And to you. You are making the right decision. It’s going to be tough for a while but we will look after each other. Play it safe for now, there will always be another opportunity to see our favourite bands but we only have one life.

Many hugs to you ❤️❤️

The lack of widespread testing is mind boggling.  I have to agree that

The slow response with widespread testing is mindboggling.  I think many will test positive in the near future.  huh

Not surprising, since insurance companies were balking at covering the costs of these tests.
We're going to get through this if we all work together and help each other out.
Meanwhile we can all take some advice from Richard Thompson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4mU9Wh8yRs
Stay safe.  Cheers

Hooch,
Don't forget we're bringing the ghost peppers that we can add to the mist! Cheers
So now we are basically going to pepper spray all visitors to camp!!  At least we will be safe from bears.  Safety third!

I'm guessing all this hype about the Coronavirus will be long gone by June. Plus don't these type of viruses usually die off in spring and summer?

No, sadly no evidence of that ( we are still in hot weather here)

Phil Lesh just cancelled his 80th Birthday Run at The Capitol, Rendezvous Fest (with Bob Weir and Wolf Bros.) at Jackson Hole is on the brink as they are voting tomorrow. Pearl Jam cancelled their tour. Not sure if  Planet Bluegrass would change anything, but individual performers could? Let's hope not!

You were right, all your new cases are coming from the US. Have room for a few more? There are some folks in office here that we may want to send down your way.
Stay safe and see you in June.  Cheers
