Hello everyone!  I'll be a first time Telluride attendee this year.  A perfect way to spend my 40th birthday (which happens on the Friday of the festival)!  Anyway, I'm seeing that some people are saying that NightGrass starts before Main Stage is done.  I was wondering how much overlap there is?  There isn't really any Main Stage closers I want to miss (except maybe Sunday...), but looking at past NightGrass lineups I won't want to miss those either!  Just curious how it all works.  Thanks!

Wave It doesn't.  :sorry You'll miss a portion of one or the other. If you want a good spot for NG, you'll have to leave early. You can hear the main stage music as you're walking to town, tho!   Cheers

just know that whatever you decide to do, its the right decision. the best part of TBF for me is just letting things happen. have a plan, but just enjoy yourself!

I thought so too, but the guys who ran the Gondola were NOT happy about my decision to ride on the outside.

We've hit all the nightgrass shows before, and last year was our first year in Town Park, and we decided to just chill at the main venue, and spend the rest of the time partying in TP. It was a good decision last year, as the weather was atrocious Saturday/Saturday night.
May try and get NG for GSBG this year, but we're back in TP for 2nd year, so may just chillax through another TBF.
Here's to no hail or torrential rains this fest!
