Thanks for posting!

Some guy by the name of Robert Plant turned me
on to Alison during their sets at New Orleans Jazz Festival and Austin City
Limits a few years ago.

Her show in 2018 in Sugarland, Texas was the best show of the year for my taste.
Saw her last year in Lake Charles, LA.

This song brings tears to my eyes every time she plays it live.

Looking forward to seeing her in Telluride.
You might be able to call me a fan of Alison Krauss.

I think everyone is tired of hearing me talk about Alison Kraus. I think she has the voice of an angel. Her body of work when she played with Union Station is outstanding. Yes, I loved her with Robert Plant but Union Station stands out for me.

She has never toured Australia and despite many, many years of coming to the US for work/ gigs I’ve never managed to see her live ( she rarely posts her shows very far in advance, I hardly ever get notification of her tours with sufficient notice). It drives me crazy!

I am RAPT that she is coming to Telluride and I can’t wait to see who will be on stage with her.

Sometimes you get to grasp the Holy Grail.

See you all in June ( if I can arrange that ride from New Mexico, you know who I mean) 😃😃😃

Cannot wait.

Don't be jealous AF, Telluride was going to be my first Allison show, but turns out I'm seeing her in April at a little festival down the road from us in Arkansas! I think I first heard Allison around 1994, 26 years later finally seeing her perform! Fred,  Wave, a guy named Robert introduced you to Allison? Jon, Trey, Page and Mike introduced me to her when they had her sing on their album Hoist.  Cheers

Is it June yet?

In this discussion about Alison Krauss, we should take the time to remember that there was another Allison Krause, a 19 year old that holds a special place in history. Krause was one of four students shot and killed by the National Guard on May 4, 1970, on the campus of Kent State University, during Vietnam war protests.
Our Alison was born in July 1971, and grew up in Champaign, IL, a college town (U of Illinois) where her father was a teacher. Was she named in memory of the other Allison? There is a possibility, but you would have to ask her parents. I don't know. And, this year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Kent State shootings. And, as fate would have it, Alison is headlining Telluride. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.  Cheers
