The Universe wanted the Dusters to be there last year, they were off that weekend and of course Travis was in Telluride partying with the Broke Mountain Bluegrass Boys, it would have made so much sense...Rise Sun was released a few months earlier, and is such an amazing album the lyrics are on fire!  I would love to see them play in Telluride again, but TBF missed the memo last summer for sure.  Their show at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass was real nice!

I'd be interested in seeing Molly Tuttle's brother's band Blue Summit! Sully rips, and AJ Lee is a bombshell!  They are pretty primed to take off, a TBF main stage performance is all they would need.

I don't understand why Sarah Jarosz is not one of the yearly staples.  I know everyone has seen her and blahblah but isn't she part of the TBF family?

Billy Strings seems like a no brainer to me.

How about some more Sturgill Simpson!!!! Sturgill has been coming out with a lot of music recently and his last performance at TBF was mindblowing, legendary for the ages!  Talk about lyrics that dude bends the ethereal realm between his guitar and voice to make it more accessible for us meesly humans.  I know it took the Planet several years before they were able to book him so that could be a very tall task to get him back so soon.

Whoever we get I will not be complaining....at least not until after the festy, I mean who and what was that All Red performance last year?  I'll say it again give me some Stringdusters and read the signs of the universe!

I saw Blue Summit again last night and AJ is tearing it up.  After winning the Freshgrass Band award, they will be headed to Nashville for a session with Alison Brown at Compass records. I'd be real surprised if she doesn't sign them.

AJ also won the Momemtum Vocalist award at IBMA so yeah, you got it, the word is out.

As far as Sarah J is concerned, she just announced she's working on a new solo record.  I'm a fan of I'm with her, but none of that material comes close to Sarah's solo stuff for some reason.

Her record may be done in time for a Shellman stage appearance.

Finished up a 4 night run of Billy Strings.  I havent felt that energy and passion since Yonder in the late 1999s and early 2000s.

There has been a allot of really great names so far. But this one band I discovered last year at Folksfest would be my request...The East Pointers.. I would LOVE to see them again! I also think Telluride would be a perfect venue for them.

I believe they played TBF in 2017.  I liked them and would certainly welcome them back!

I'm going to add Shinyribs, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, and double down on Wilco, or Jeff Tweedy solo.

Also going to double triple down on multiple Billy Strings band sets, and not only would I love to see Billy Strings and his band mates play in collaborations with other bands, and formed for the sake of the sound bands. That being said, many of my favorite sets from Telluride, and good festivals in general are the collaborative sets that are not "real bands".

And my last request would be another live performance of "Live From Here", and a set of covers by an all star collaboration band.

I always ask for the people we never see downunder....really enjoyed the Oh Hellos a couple of years ago, such a big sound and so much fun.

The First ladies of Bluegrass were fantastic last year, would love to see another collaboration of women on stage in 2020. Alison Kraus you know I want her there!

Agree with everyone re Billy Strings, he is amazing.

I think Greensky hit that same level of energy, passion and consistent rager shows from around 2013-2016. Using Denver as an example, in 2013 they headlined the Bluebird Theater (capacity 550) and in 2016 they headlined Red Rocks (capacity 9,500). That was all because they were just killing it during that time. And I totally agree that Billy is in that same place now and is on a similar trajectory. He and his band are really bringing the fire.

OK, here is a crazy suggestion but I just saw the Davidson Brothers an Australian band supporting Steep Canyon Rangers. They were fantastic! Banjo, mandolin and fiddle. Normally I feel a bit cheated if I see Aussie bands at Telluride but they were great and I can really see them there. Think about it PB?  Thanks as always

I have been playing lots and lots of James Taylor for the past week. Gosh, he is a wonderful artist and he has influenced so many people who came after him. I know he has played Telluride in the past but  it  would be wonderful to see him there again next year. I really like how the festival honours the history and contribution of artists and musicians. Can just imagine him on stage with so many of the people we love. ( I could even dream of seeing a set with  JT and Alison Kraus.  And JT and Greensky.)

The Bad Livers are playing shows this summer. Already booked for John Hartford Fest. I've seen Mark and Danny both play solo or with other bands many times. Never got to be in the same town at the same time when the Bad Livers played. Bucket list band.

The Bad Livers were first introduced to me at Telluride many years ago and after their main stage and Fly Me to the Moon shows I had to see them in Madison later that year. I'm up for a return. If you can make it to Beanblossom I would highly recommend the Hartford Memorial, the most laid back festival in the world. Also they have Sam Bush, The Dillard's, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and the High Hawks this year. I thought that the High Hawks would be my new favorite band and they didn't disappoint. The Madison show was excellent but the riverboat ride in Peoria was probably the best party ever. Looking forward to seeing them in Telluride...
