I have tried to stay true to the low to the ground low back chairs. For years. Seems I always end up sitting behind a row of these chairs: https://www.gcioutdoor.com/backpack-chairs/wilderness-backpacker/

I’m sort of over carrying the torch for less annoying chairs, and these are more comfortable. So I’m thinking about crossing over. Are these sanctioned? Thoughts?

It sounds like a silly thing to think about, until you spend hours sitting behind one of these GCI chairs, in a lower chair with a lower back.

we have them and love them, but haven’t brought them to RG yet. they are sanctioned at all the fests we attend on the east coast - GreyFox, DelFest, etc.... so this might be the year we bring them to Rockygrass!

These are classic festival chairs (the backpack straps are GREAT!) that we originally purchased 15 years ago because they were the go to chairs for Rockygrass. We've used them many many times with no complaints.

I heard them quit making them and the recliner they replaced it with seemed too flimsy. REI doesn't have them so I recently brought another on Amazon even tho my 15 year old Wilderness is still functional
