wonderful festival as usual. Molly's set was one of my highlights of the festival; she is a remarkable artist! i also thought carlilie and musgraves were very good. Telluride Bluegrass is the highlight of my year, every year. i am so grateful to PBG for this event.

Here are my top four:

- For the performance that captured the essence of the totality of the Telluride experience, it was Bonnie Paine's gospel set on Sunday morning.  It was heart-stopping magic.

- For the single, breath-taking song, it was Molly Tuttle's "Cold Rain and Snow".

- For that special "only in Telluride" moment, it was the Sam and Jerry's duet on Sailing Shoes > Crossroads > Sailing Shoes.  To hear two geniuses on bluegrass instruments be so inside each other's heads and go deep into the blues was phenomenal.

- For the "dance your ass off" set, it was the return of RRE to the main stage on Saturday night.  It had been too long.  My knees still hurt.

Have to mention, Shaky Hand String Band, who played at Run-a-Muck on Friday night/Saturday Morning.  Sound was perfect, the band and the guests who sat in with them were all crazy good.  Jerry would have been proud. I left at 3.30 am and they were still going strong.  A memorable highpoint for me.

I was amazed by Steve Poltz who was funny, gentle, clever and lovely. His set was such a surprise.

I had never seen Molly Tuttle or Brandi Carlile before. OMG they are so talented.

Had a brilliant time. It was heavenly

That was a highpoint for me too. I will never forget that night. Shaky killed it all night long, and it all culminated in a pick until 7:00 AM with Scot Vestal sitting in.  We finally shut down the sound system at almost 4:00AM. We have a recording of that night and we will be posting it at some point.
