Is driving through the town of Telluride allowed during the festival without a special permit or residential permit?

I remember seeing some restrictions in place last year, but I don't recall very well what were they for (I only used the shuttle from/to campground).
Specifically, I want to know if I am allowed to drive to the lower trailhead for Bridal Veils waterfall during the festival. I want to start a hike before 6 am and the shuttles run after 7am from Mary E.I. campground.

On the same note: is Imogene road drivable right now?

It's just about guaranteed that they won't let you into town without a barricade pass.

I can't say about Imogene, but if it is open it's the only way into Telluride without a barricade pass. LOL

I figured that it was a restriction in place, but didn't know it had a name. Bummer, I'll have to find another solution. Thanks!

The only way into town without the barricade pass is either a Town Park or Warner camping pass, or a receipt for a condo in town.
A handicap placard will also work.

I don't have any of those... maybe I can get a ride from someone, although not sure how many folks would be driving around before 6 am with all the good music and parties during the festival.  LOL
