AF, Hippie was the heart beat of Town Park. His spirit, enthusiasm and the LOVE he had for all of his Festy Family was the driving force that made the Town Park Community what we all knew it to be, a Family. That Heart Beat has stopped...…...and it falls on the shoulders of all Town Park Campers to carry on the flame in Hippies name. Brother Jerry we love you, you showed us all how to Festivate with Love and respect for our family members. Heck Hippie with his Town Hall Oyster Roast spawned the whole concept of "Special Events" hosted by other camps. Anyone who enjoys the "Town Park" experience, owes a debt of Thanks to the Great Jerry "Hippie" Lunsford. Please I urge all Town Parkers to carry on what Jerry started, and every year we can Love each other as much as Jerry loved us all! RIP hippie!
Pirate, I totally agree. Hippie was so kind and loving to all. I did not know him nor experience his oyster roasts, but the stories and memories of the roast and all the crazy events at RaM that he was a part of intrigued me before my first year. I searched him out that first year, Hippie encouraged me to do the crawfish boil and gave me some Hippie wisdom.
He is so missed already
RIP Hippie Jerry 💜
Year of the Hippie!
