Hey M. As long as they are mountain bikes fully rigid is fine. From the Illium campground you ride further down the road about half mile or so, and pick up on the "Galloping Goose" trail which will be on the left side of the road with a trail sign. That will connect with the paved trail from town that goes to Lawson Hill and also to the Telluride Brewery. The whole ride from campground to Town Park takes about an hour at a leisurely pace and few stops. My wife road it on a rigid, also her first ever trail ride. It has a couple of narrow spots along a ledge, but other than that its a pretty easy smooth trail. It would be do-able at night with a good light, but might be a bit sketchy. One day we rode into town for music, and locked the bikes and took the bus back to Illium. Great dirt rode ride out by Illium going up to Wilson Meadows. I've got doubles of all the trail maps. I'll make sure and get you one.

Thanks Buddy!  Locking the bikes up in town is a good idea.
