Ok, I am old! How many quarters are required for a hot shower in Town Park!

12 coins for a shower! That’s kind of insane, does that mean people bring almost 200 quarters to festival?

Remind me to show you the dear little chunky Australian $2 coins one day....people of the USA, it’s time for change. ( you see what I did there, very good Lesley, quite funny)

Talking of showers is it going to rain, like a lot? That weather forecast is worrying me. And I don’t have gum boots or anything that makes sense in a storm really.

Though I guess torrential rain will reduce the need for quarters!

Yep! We bring quarters if we want a hot shower. And there is a method to the madness. Since you only get 5 minutes, you lay out all your soap, shampoo, etc... beforehand, undress, pump in your quarters, then jump in, lather up as quick as you can, then save a minute or two for rinsing off.
There are other options. You could always stand under the waterfall or jump in the river, if you don't mind the cold. But the best option is to find someone renting a condo, and use their shower!

Bring some of them coins. We can compare them to the Canadian ones. When they first issued a dollar coin in Canada, they put a loon on the front, so people started calling them "loonies". Years later they came out with a $2 coin, so everyone calls them "dubloonies". I am sure you aussies have some creative names for your coins.

And with rain in the forecast, would highly recommend you bring a good pair of boots, plenty of socks, and a good poncho, or mac. It will get plenty muddy if it rains a lot.

Ol Pirate, he has more than last time you were here, but he has created a lot of followers who are all thirsty for some of the nastiest swill they've had all year. It's as if they like the stuff!! I think he's coming up short ...

Goodness Lesley, 200 quarters? How many showers you taking? My first year I brought 2 rolls of quarters (that's $10 each roll ), and I was so concerned I'd run out that when I got home I still had 2 rolls! I think I took a shower that year, but I don't remember where. 

It looks like you may miss the greatest chance of rain on Saturday. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you have some type of rain jacket. If that hurricane pumps in a lot you can get something in town.
