Hi,

Is there a laundry mat in Telluride?

Also, perhaps a little random and silly...but do people bring hair dryers?  I heard mention of plug-ins in the bathroom facilities I think.

Thanks for your help,

Last we heard (last year), the only local laundromat was closed.  You'll need to bring a washboard and, when you're not playing it, you can scrub-a-dub in the utility sink behind the bath house in Town Park.  But there's only cold water in the utility sinks - no hot.

Or, you could forget washing clothes and just go get yourself a new, free outfit each day from the Free Box in town.

And yes, you can bring a hair dryer - the bath houses in Town Park have electricity for things like hair dryers, cell phone chargers, taper battery chargers, etc.  I'm bringing at least one extension cord and power strip to plug in and share all weekend.  Feel free to plug in and dry off!

If you're camping at the high school, Lawson Hill or Illium, I have no idea what the electricity situation is, except that there isn't any at Illium.

There is electricity at the High School...

Telluride passed a bond issue just last year so the students wouldn't have to build fires and study by candlelight.   Evil

Sorry Bevin.. couldn't resist!
