The eagle pics are cool though, and yes they are HUGE! I have eagles in the field across from my house.
I see them just about every day.

Were these pictures taken on a Friday? You know the eagle flies on Friday.   :)

I'm going to have to say I like Mother Teresa's answer
"I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there."

It’s different for there to be a protest in the Town of Telluride during the week/end of festival than for there to be one inside the festival itself, and I believe that the former is what the question is asking — not to stage a protest inside the festival grounds, but in the town of Telluride. I think there would likely be a lot of interest if it was participation in a nationally staged protest day that happened to fall during festival.

So yes ... if the cause is right I believe that many would believe that hour would be worth it. As long as it’s not during Billy Strings 😂

As a visitor, I would feel constrained if it was a domestic issue but if there was an issue of humanity, dignity, human rights, respect then yes I would. I support the right to speak up and speak out while equally respecting the rights of others to live peacefully. And that includes my wonderful friends at Telluride. Our right to love, enjoy our music and friendship is worth fighting for and I would always try to ensure we have a peaceful, welcoming community.

And, of course, Greensky said “  are you going to be a rich girl for all of your life? Or give up your sense of truth for the night ? it’s going to take chances to keep us alive, over and over and over and over again”

Peace and love. See you all soon

Mad Mad The objection to protesting as the wrong place/wrong time is EXACTLY the reason you should consider protesting!!!! Mad Mad

It sounds like many folks think this is an inconvenience with that type of statement. Catching people in the happy vibe might make them a little more open to listening to what you are making a stand for.

I would be open to spending a couple hours, if the cause felt worthy to me.

I think people need to better appreciate the benign impact of the marshmallow thing.  It delights the children and entertains the more easily-amused adults.
