Nightgrass program gets announced. You put in a requests for tickets to the shows you want to see and provide your credit card details. There is a random draw and winners receive tickets.

First timer here - I hope these are not dumb questions :) ....so how late does the festival music last into the evening?  and when does Nightgrass music start? Are there other things in town to do at night if we are not planning on Nightgrass music tickets - any bars that will have live music that is not part of the Nightgrass tickets?

Tons of bars have live music after the mainstage shuts down. The mainstage will go up until midnight on Friday and Saturday, but shut down earlier on Thursday and Sunday. What you should do afterwards depends on where you're staying. If I'm not at Nightgrass, I'm hanging out in the campground partying and listening to The picking that goes down. But you need a camping pass specific to each campground to spend time there.

The advertised start time is 11pm Are there other things in town to do at night if we are not planning on Nightgrass music tickets - any bars that will have live music that is not part of the Nightgrass tickets? Yes, there are others that aren't ticketed shows, and are generally very well attended

Festival music ends usually around 11 PM on Thursday, midnight on Friday/Saturday, about 10:30 on Sunday. But I have seen this vary over the past. Outside of the Yonder kickoff show on Wednesday, which starts about 9 PM, the nightgrass shows start around 11 PM, and some can run until 2, even 3 AM.
This is the fun of Nightgrass, sometimes you have to make a hard decision if you want to see the last act on the main stage or run over to the Sheridan or Palm to get a good spot. Or try and catch the last gondola to Mountain Village if you need to.
Now there are other bars in Telluride and some of them have live music that is not part of the festival. But if you are lucky enough to get into Town Park, there is more music there all night long than you could handle. Some of the local residents can probably tell you more.  Cheers

thanks for the info!  We have tickets & camping at Warner.  Sounds like there will be plenty of activities to choose from in the evenings.

Facts. Also keep an eye on the late night performances scheduled for local bars, esp if you don't get all of the Nightgrass you want; last year Kitchen Dwellers played two nights at the Liberty Bar and it was  :burn

Oh yeah, if you're camping in Warner, you'll have no problem finding late night fun. Just roam through Town Park and you'll find some great music somewhere.

Curious - I have tix for one of the SOH shows. Planning on going, but with wee ones in tow, never know if babysitting will allow it, etc...

How easy unload these tickets around the concert grounds if need be?

I've never been to any of the nightgrass shows, but from what I've heard there are plenty of people hanging around the venue in hopes of scoring a ticket, so you shouldn't have a problem.
 Thumbs Up

Some Sheridan shows are more popular than others, but I’ve never had a problem selling an extra for face value at the venue, get there early is my advice
