Hi all - we are staying in town; our VRBO will give us a permit to cross the barrier for condo-side parking.

Our current plan is check out sunday morning, drive car up to park in Mountain Village parking garage since doubt we can keep in town at that point, and hit the gondola sometime during final set to then get to our car and leave town.  We have a flight mid-day Monday from Salt Lake, hence the need to get a move on.

Given all the parking/driving restrictions, will it even feasible to drive out of town Sunday during the day? Any chance on-street parking if we can stay in-town?
Also, any idea how late the final set typically goes on that Sunday?

I'm not an expert in this area, but ...

1) You'll be able to leave town on Sunday during the day for sure. There is consistent traffic in town.

2) To park in town, you need a barricade pass; it sounds like your VRBO is providing you one of those, but if you need to turn it in on Sunday and then park afterward, it would be risky to park without one. Not sure how strict the town is at that point, or what the consequence for parking sans barricade pass even would be (it seems to me that it's an attempt to keep traffic from being psychotic in town, but if your car is already in there, it might be an easier task?)

3) I would think that finding a street parking spot on Sunday would be difficult, generally speaking; I would venture to guess that most people park on Tues-Weds-Thurs and don't move their cars again until Monday morning.

4) Late set Sunday usually ends a little earlier than the other nights. 11 p.m. I think?

Hope some of that helps.

No need to fuss. Your barricade pass works all days and nights during Fest. The Condo staff is most likely very flexible about letting your car stay put.  Just Ask. Flower
