What about a double night of house band? Old school vets, and young pups! I'd vote the young pups be Chris Thile mando, Billy Apostle guitar, Andy Hall Dobro, Ben Kaufmann bass, Danny Barnes banjo, Fiddle is tough I lean towards Gabe Witcher, but I'd love Bridget Law, or,  Brian Breken. And another guitarist: Adam Aijala, Sage Cook, and or Chris Combs.

A new Gen House band would be hard to setup. There are so many good young pickers around. Here's some of my suggestions.

Guitar: Andy Falco, Billy Strings
Mando: Jake Jolliff, Chris Thile
Banjo: Andy Thorn, Chris Pandolfi, Noam Pikelny
Fiddle: Alex Hargraves, Allie Kral, Jake Simpson (soon)
Bass: Travis Book, Greg Garrison
Dobro: Andy Hall, Andy Dunnegan (soon)

Any combination of those would be great, and maybe the place for them to play is Camp Run-A-Muck!

Not sure it would be that hard to put this new band together. Just put someone like Sarah Jarosz in charge...maybe a new Boomchick's. But I like the idea of bookend House Bands to close both Thursday and Sunday nights.

How about the following:

Banjo: Micheal A. Bont
Mando: Paul Hoffman
Bass: Mike Devol
Guitar: Dave Bruzza
Dobro: Anders Beck

I know what you're thinking, but hear me out! This way we get to see Greensky Bluegrass headline one night, and then a second as the new house band. Seriously, I think I'm onto something here. Wink Cheers

Thats not a super group house band. Thats something different. And they'll already have a primo spot.

A generation band might look more like:

Molly Tuttle- Guitar
Sierra Hull- Mando
Bridget Kearney- Bass
Abbie Washburn-Banjo
Sarah Jarosz & Sarah Watkins vocals

 Thumbs Up
