Evil or Ferg can really drive everyone nuts and let us find out who's playing when we get the festival program. The only non negotiable artist is Sam...

Be still my fluttering heart

Greensky has to be there

I only see them once a year, sob

Fret not, my fellow fan girl. It's their favorite week of the year, too. I've seen them say so themselves. Something tells me your sky will be green in that box canyon this June. 💚💙

Skubes! 💕💕💕💕

See that Molly Tuttle has made it to Rocky Grass as part of a powerful all-female band. Maybe she can make it to Telluride too, playing with Billy Strings?

It's time Ferg>>>>>>>>We want presents!

I am totally convinced there will be a big “ all girl power” presence on stage this year.

PBG gets the zeitgeist - it is the right time to see a big female presence. Will be excited to see who is coming

Ferg, come on, time for our Christmas presents ❤️🤠

I hope that Greensky is back for another 20 maybe 30 years. While I haven't fully jumped on their bandwagon and moved them from a roadside attraction band into a destination band. There schedule maker is probably the biggest reason as they tend to tour Wisconsin in spring, my maple season. And have played opposite of Leftover in Telluride for several years. So last year was the first time I saw them in four years other than one song in 2014, probably one of few good memory of that Sunday. While Sam Bush along with John Hartford and Doc Watson (my original destination bands) are the reasons why I made my first trip to Telluride 30 years ago. So as long as Sam is on the lineup I will probably be heading home for the summer solstice regardless of who else is playing. The best thing about this festival is that most of the bands are back every year and if one of the regular acts misses a year like Tim O'Brien did once or Leftover last year it's like missing one of your best friends in camp. Maybe soon we will have something...

Oh yeah...and agree re Hot Rize, only encountered them when I came to Telluride, we have their entire back catalogue now. Quality band

This fall Taj Mahal and Keb Mo toured as a duo. That would be really killer!
They played for Blues and Brews in September. Doubt they would be back for TBF.

It's mid-December. I have seen full lineups for many other festivals for a month now. This is getting a bit ridiculous.  I know that tickets will sell out, but when funds are limited and there are other festivals the week before and the week after TBF, with all the bands I love already listed............don't wait too long or you will continue to lose a lot more of your faithful followers. I know the planet doesn't care who comes and who doesn't because the tickets will sell, but it doesn't do much for promoting it when you can't even tell friends who will be performing next year. I've had a lot of folks ask me, and I have nothing to offer them other than other festivals where their favorite bands are already booked.  Make some announcements already! Sam is always a given, but for a 4-day festival that isn't a lot to go on.

Ok, ok. You guys are right, I’ve been a touch distant.

We are very happy onsale went so well from computer standpoint and there’s still a bunch of tickets left, so we are glad that panic has calmed.  I’m hat was important to us to achieve.

For “clues”, start with this.

Today’s RockyGrass lineup might whisper what’s not happening at Telluride.

Otherwise, let me reference face on mars list.

He’s only wrong by one on the “for certain”; but, 4 for 7 on the “at least half” lust.

Pretty good.

But we’ll soon see the “almost headliner” prediction is way off base.

(That good start, Luanda?)

What day ye, face... perhaps you’d guess again on who is certain and which 4?

We are psyched.

I'd say no Tim or no Peter for the for sures, and Greensky and ISD both play at Blue Ox the week before but neither have anything listed for this weekend. Probably not Emmylou, Allison Krauss, or John Cowan if I had to guess. But I love John Cowan. Maybe the Doobie Brothers will be the "not even close?"  If I get that right do I get a free ticket for my 42nd TBF?   Flower

Dusters will be back, I'm pretty sure. Greensky seems like an obvious choice, too. Same with EmmyLou and Del. That would be my 4 out of 7.

I'm intrigued to see that one if his "for certain" list won't be there. Maybe Yonder has decided to take a break this year? Or maybe Jerry's schedule has finally taken him away from Telluride like it so frequently threatens to do.

Other than that, I expect to see Salmon and The Smokies on the lineup this year.

I'll have a serving of Smoked Salmon thank you! As far as Yonder, when is Allie's baby due? That could play a factor in that. If Jerry D doesn't come they need a fill-in dobro for House Band. I think either Tim O (since Hot Rize is on for RG) or Peter Rowan would be the other one if indeed YMSB does not come. Or maybe Edgar Meyer? who knows.
It won't be Telluride without Sam, so he's a shoo in.

Greg Brown is playing in Boulder on the Friday of TBF. Only date in the area. Hmmmm. Seen him in Telluride at the SOH, but I do not recall him at TBF. Married to Iris Dement who I do recall seeing at TBF. Which brings up in my mind, of course, John Prine, who has been on an every other year appearance with TBF. I am liking that set up!

But really, Billy Strings, RRE, Brothers Comatose, Smokies, Dusters, Greensky all on my wish list. That Lil Smokies, Brothers Comatose, Mipso Campfire Caravan Tour this fall was exceptional!

My last thought. The Avett Brothers are playing early this year at RR. Would love to see them at TBF again. I know they are out on the expensive end and a big draw, but Jim Avett and his sons released a gospel album that they played some of at Red Rocks last summer and it would be nice for the gospel set and maybe not as expensive. I say just go for a headliner slot for the Avetts.

Yes I agree! Billy Strings is totally on my Christmas wish list.

Love the speculation re John Prine and oh wow, we saw Iris Dement recently in Australia, what a voice.

And Ferg, FOM has Alison Krauss on his list, please make me happy, I would so love to finally see her and Union Station ( not sure if I have said this before?)

Oh, I’m barely able to sit still, is it next week yet?

Well hello Sugar, nice to see you back. You were the first person who told me about Greensky. Super hero.

Changed my life.

I really hope to see The Smokies again ( have they dropped the little??)

Nice to know Sam will be there.  LOL

I am wondering if what Ferg was listening to "A prairie home companion this by with b la and Abby"
Is any other hint?
It would have had to been a podcast or previous show as today 12/16 is the next live APHC.
