Try Island Pineapple Jello with Malibu or other coconut rum...Pina colada!   And a flavored rum with a matching flavor of jello for a Daquiri...or my favorite, tho very ugly in color- mix lemon- lime jello and orange jello and silver Tequila for a Margarita jello shot...

Best containers are those little plastic cups with the snap on lids like your salad dressing or salsa comes in at a restaurant; (the 2-3 oz. ones?) They have lids and thus the alcohol does not evaporate out (festi-foul!).

And BTW, the ONLY approved mechanism to get the jello shot out is your TONGUE!  ROOKIES!!!!! Do I have to teach you everything?? Don't make me come down there!!!

Well, I will have my 5 gallon igloo cooler which I will be using for Camp Flamingo events (Margaritas, Mai Tai's) so we could make a big batch of something easy and tasty (Hurricanes?) and get a wagon and a couple of Cabana Boys to haul it around with us and serve berverages....  The Cabana Boys would be rewarded by the goddesses of course.... what do you think,  your Monkeygirlness?  It would be light and fruit juicy and have a couple types of rum in it...

Send it to Monkeygirl, along with references  LOL

Hi Ron.  I'm on computer patrol - adding grades and avoiding/not avoiding work.  Hi to Deb (I'm figuring she's  your reference).  I'm still sending Deb a care package.

Yes, Ron... we are indeed going to need references, at the very least... I believe that one (or more) of the other Goddesses already called for your exclusion as a candidate for Walkabout Cabana Boy.

Given the current tide, I suggest that you find yourself a campaign manager and let the self-promotion begin!  We want to hear some cabana-rhetoric, cabana-half truths, and see some shameless pandering for the Goddess vote.  Be prepared Ron, to defend yourself from the other Cabana Boy-candidates who may try to cast aspersions on your choice of fashion-show attire and the proud way you have displayed your posterior to Goddesses in the past.  It will be a tough race Ron; the question you must ask yourself is, “Do I have the heart, the drive and the energy, that it will take to win the vote?

Jello shot question.... How can these be made in camp??? If I make them at home, how could I make them stay long enough to get them to t-ride?  I'm thinking they dont hold up that well for travel.

I'm playing in the kitchen with the jello shot thing this week. They can be made in camp but will require a cold place for storage. One of the keys seems to be very cold water and very cold booze to get the gelatin to set. I'm still in favor of working with paper sample cups or reusable molds for the setting up, that is the direction my kitchen encounters are taking me. Refrigeration and alcohol balance seem to be the key.

Thank goodness I have this huge town wide party this weekend to dispense the results of my  quote expiriments quote. I would never be able to pack otherwise. Wink

Transporting them from a distance is probably not a very good idea as past experience tells me that they tend to disintegrate fairly quickly. Plus you migh have a hard time explaining that to the officer. Then again I may have a hard time explaining the two beer set ups, co2, and 20 gallons of beer in the back seat. LOL LOL LOL

Ohh and snap lids won't keep out the water, we can't be diluting the jello no can we?
