By the time the LOS set rolls on stage, it will be standing room only. Most of us will drag our tarps and chairs back to camp for the night and grab the arctic layers. If you want, you should be able to make it pretty close to the front.

Allright -Lurker checking in.
Last year was my first TBF (I've wanted to go since 1981-summers are busy for me).
This will be 1st year in Town Park. Hope to roll in Saturday-or have my Brother-In Law who will be attending w/ me get there Saturday to set up a spot-he lives in Denver area.  I was wondering what is the electricity situation-will I be able to plug in boombox, blender etc at the campsite? I would like to know so I can plan accordingly-Thanks to all.

There is a couple of outlets at the main bathroom, but unless you have some great solar energy device (which some camps have) blending drinks can be difficult. I once say a hand cranked blender at REI not sure if they still make them?? huh

Thanks Beth-Looks like I need to stock up on Batteries for Boombox-not really concerned about blending.

run a muck will have enough solar power for a blender, but you'll need to bring your own.

With all the great live picking that will be going on, that boombox won't be getting much use!  If you do need batteries, please buy the rechargeable kind with a charger, and you can recharge them at the outlet in the bathroom.  If you can't do that, the hardware store in town might have a recycling place for spent batteries, and if they don't, then give them to me and I will take them with me next time I have some to recycle.  Just don't want them ending up in the landfill oozing out acid, ya know?
TBF strives to be a very green festival, and every little bit we can do helps them accomplish this.  Thanks for doing your part.

Heyo Festivarians!!  Wave

I love this thread! i guess i never found it in all my lurking, or it might have motivated me to post a little more. Heck, i didn't even realize i was lurking until i saw this thread!! well, the first step is to admit that i have a problem, and now i figure there's no better time to start posting than the present!

I'll be coming in for my 3rd TBF this summer...getting there early this year, hopefully in time for the land rush (is there a "fingers crossed" smiley that i missed?). I biked in for my first bluegrass festival in 2007 as part of the Bluegrass by Bike contingency and fell in love with this festival and all you wonderful festivarians  Love. To my own great disappointment  Frown, i missed the next year...i suffered from a nasty case of the festi withdraws Sick. Last year, I made a full recovery and had more fun than i thought was humanly possible Abduct!! I always tell people, it doesn't really matter whose playing the festival (though we all know the Planet doesn't disappoint), it's all about the community...  Cheers !!  Thank you all for that!

Can't wait to do it up again this summer! See ya 'round town  Wave

This sight is GREAT!!! and I hope to be more a part of all the extra stuff this year! We have a bit more time this year.

Helloooooo, I've been lurking on and off for a week or so.  I first came to this site because there was a link on the Telluride site about good memories.  Little did I know, but my insane brother, Hooch, had started the thread.  Why am I not surprised?  Well, here I am.  I mainly visit to look at photos.  I like taking them too, so you may see me behind a camera this summer.  Peace out...

Lurker here. I usually don't post much but I thought I would say howdy since my kind has been specifically called out.  Wave

This will be my first time at the festival and I am pretty stoked. I am driving up from Tucson and will be camping at Lawson.

Could anyone recommend a good vegetarian friendly restaurant in town? Are there dining out options that won't break the bank?
