Greetings all,

We have decided to bring our kiddos (1 and 3) this year to the festival. My friend got Mary Ilium camping, thinking this would be the most family friendly/nature experience.

My big concern is bringing things too and from the festival. What is the situation for hauling things to the festival from the campground? Also, we were thinking about bringing a shade tent. What is the protocol for these? Do we have to take it down every night? Would we be able to leave it somewhere in town?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do we have to take it down every night?

Not unless you have one for each night and don't mind "disposing" of them in such a way.

Sarcasm aside, I believe you made the best choice re: more secluded / nature experience for kids with Mary E. given the HS Family camping is no more (which is unfortunate).

You will have to take down your shade tent daily.  Nothing stays inside the venue area as it is cleared in the evening.  But you should be able to locate a place to stash it in town so you don't have to truck it up from Mary daily.
