Seems like we should be getting an announcement any day or week now!   Wave

So who do you think will get the nod? Besides the usual Yonder, Greensky, Punch Bros....? Without the Dusters and LoS, some coveted spots open up. I'm leaning towards Fruition, Elephant Revival, &  Tim O'Brian. Wondering if they will have Dispatch, Dierks, or Brandi. Seems like Swede Finn has been leaning to have more mellow shows in that neighborhood.

There are so many bands this year that I have no experience with.  huh  I know many of you have pretty good beta on these artists, so what do you think?  Flower

I think Frution is a good bet.  Are they doing shows at Swede Finn anymore?  Excited for the announcement, myself.

Skubes,
I've only been to the Conference Center, the Sheridan and mainly the Palm. The website says Swede Finn, I just remember the talk being the shows were too loud and they more intimate sets last year ... though I don't remember who played. You know I'm really only interested in one nightgrass show, and I will definitely see you there!!  Thumbs Up

Fruition is a good bet, I'm thinking Swede Finn. I would be shocked if Elephant Revival doesn't do a late night, probably Sheridan or Palm. Punch Brothers, Greensky, and Yonder doing late nights again is another safe bet. After that it becomes anyones guess. I wouldn't mind Travelin McCoury's, Jerry Douglas Band, and The East Pointers to fill out the rest.

The problem with Swede Finn wasn't the volume. The venue simply didn't have enough power to accommodate full bands. When Fruition played there in 2014, I had heard that they blew the generator several times during the show. That's why they only did low key, acoustic shows their last year.

I'd be willing to bet Fruition will be at either The Palm or the Sheridan. Probably Thursday night.

I knew you would know Sugar.

Fruition put on a really good show at WWG at Steamboat. Looking forward  to them again!

Tim O'Brien's website has the Hot Rize at the Sheridan for Saturday night!

With Red Knuckles? I think Saturday NG will be the hot ticket this year.

The NG lottery is probably right around the corner. Have a question, would the Sam Bush Band ever consider a Nightgrass show?

Never seen it happen in my (admittedly limited) years paying attention to TBF, but in Telluride anything is possible right? :-)

My educated (but uninvolved / probably wrong) guesses look like this:

Sheridan:
Thurs - Fruition (Elephant Revival was my original guess here but I don't think they'll be in Telluride yet)
Fri - Yonder
Sat - Hot Rize
Sun - Punch

Palm:
Thurs -
Fri - Peter Rowan w/ Sarah Jarosz
Sat - Greensky Bluegrass

If they do a smaller venue like Swede-Finn again, that would leave room for someone like Parker Millsap, Rayland Baxter, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellies, etc. to get a slot too, but some of the concerns noted above lead me to believe that we shouldn't expect louder/more electric bands at Swede-Finn.

Also, I like speculation a lot even if I'm wrong  Flower Cheers Wave

This would be an awesome Sheridan lineup!!   Thumbs Up  Cheers

I'd be willing to bet Fruition will be at either The Palm or the Sheridan. Probably Thursday night.

I'm feeling this too. Hope it is the Sheridan!

When Trout Steak played NG at Swede Finn in 2015 the generators blew and we ended up all sitting in a big campfire-style circle with the band playing acoustic in the middle of the room. Still one of my favorite memories from that year!

I would really love an Elephant Revival nightgrass show! Is there ever a scenario where a band not on the main stage line-up gets a nightgrass slot?

This was true of Fruition a couple years back.
