2017 Bluegrass Super Bowl-Dusters vs. Greensky

Make mine GSMFBG, though we are talking about two of my very favorite bands.  I just get more of that "feeling" when I see Greensky.  And no not the Swander just licked me feeling.

Plus I enjoy the fan community over there almost as much as I love y'all festivarians. 

It's not like picking sides politically or in sportsball teams, I can love them both and it would only be a problem if by some tragedy they played in the same city at the same time.

Though I am going to Dusters Wondergrass and not GSBG Wondergrass.  (Location Location, STEAMBOAT)  Anybody else going to be there?

 
 

Yes, I'm going! I know several Duk Tapers will also be there too!! Can't wait, but sure wish the Kalamazoo boys were coming to the Boat!!  We need to meet up and hoist a few!

If P-Hoff's voice wasn't monotone and incredibly boring it would be a closer call. Aside from Ders, the dusters are far superior musicians in every way possible. Love both though.

I guess it is a chick thing cause  let me tell you, he is kind of the very, very, very opposite of boring.........

"Love both though".  Did you read that part, or were you too busy marginalizing me as a person b/c I differ in opinion.  I think P-Hoff is the best songwriter out the GSBG vs. Duster conversation, but his voice just doesn't do it for me.  Sorry?

  Well, here we go again ... while I may appreciate Mandhoe's opinion this time( shocking?), he goes and "marginalizes" (slams) PHoff's quality as a singer/performer, gets slammed for it (I know, it's shocking!  ), then he gets defensive? NOT deja vu.  Have you ever hit the -420 Festivarian mark, Mandhoe? Most like to stay positive 'round here, even in disagreement.
I'm in the camp of voting for Dusters vocals over Greensky, but still thoroughly enjoy them.

He has most def hit -420.  I'm certain with some intention. Thus my reaction.

These are my two fav bands too.

Dusters - superior musicianship. Their late night show at the Palm Theater at Telluride might have been the best show I've ever seen in terms of musicianship, the "huddle jams" and general amazing vibe

Greensky - their song-writing surpasses the Dusters and there's just something about their music that you can't even really describe but it digs at you deep...

If i had to pick, I'd say Greensky but I love them both and am super bummed that Dusters won't be at Telluride this year!
