I believe Marshking is a White Sox fan.

I was a beer vendor (working commission & tips) at both Wrigley and Comisky, so always wound up routing for both the Cubs & the Sox.

On the serious side I think Dead and Co are a natural fit but the vibe is a tad different like having Dweezel Zappa. Not quite the same vibe.

On one hand stayin in the groove can be hypnotic and love when PBG throws a band in that shakes it up, wakes us up and stirs the pot.
I personally missed the Dead train and would love to be educated.

Wow, so was it the north side of the city?  I grew up in the northern suburbs.  Love to visit, but would have the hardest time moving back.  I'm sure you remember Yum Yum Doughnuts?  Vended 8 years in Chicago, then Rockies' first four years (Mile High, then Coors) ... still run into some of my former co-workers at concerts who vend Red Rocks & 1st Bank.

I think Bob Weir's new "Cowboy album" band (comprised partly by some members of "The National") would be a better "fit" for TBF in terms of genre and not overrunning the "bluegrass scene" in Telluride, but neither will be happening based on schedules.

Looks like Phil is playing the weekend after Bluegrass in Boulder @ the Fox.

Would love to go, but just too much on my plate ... going to see Trey @ Red Rocks at the end of May, then back again to the front range for D&C soon thereafter.   Cheese @ Red Rocks in July.

Too bad Phil didn't play @ Chautauqua or the Mish ... the Fox will be a sweat box ... even so, I'd go if I could ... nobody's getting any younger / this space is getting hot  :burn
