When will we know if the high school campground will be available for summer 2017?

I'm now replying to myself, which may be a sign of mental illness... The website says that the high school campground will NOT be open next summer, but what about the showers in the high school locker rooms? Anyone (besides myself)?

Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own  Cheers

I don't have any authoritative answers, but my suspicion is there won't be any camping allowed at the high school since they've installed the artificial turf ... which appears to span most of the field & might be subject to more than "wear and tear" by people camping.   Hopefully, access to the showers will still be made available ... but unsure.

I was very much opposed to what I believe was an unnecessary "infrastructure development"; apparently spearheaded by special interests and slipped into the larger school expansion ballot measure as a several million dollar "line item".   I was up on the Jud Weibe not too long ago looking down & couldn't help but notice how awful it looked from above.   It's like a giant sign pointing upwards & is now more noticeable due to the higher contrast between turf color and the field lines & now logo in the center of the field.  I realize there are few who relish in this sort of thing, and are also pushing hard for a Telluride football team, but it's an eyesore IMO ... and would probably not be allowed under town / county LUC provisions re: signage if it weren't the school district operating as somewhat of a sovereign entity.

While not from PB, unfortunately it looks as if camping at the HS is officially a "no go":

FoM is correct. The High School camping is a thing of the past. Frown

I'm not sure about the status of the showers, but I'll see if I can get an answer for you.

Cheers
