Howdy!

Town Park newbie here, with a simple question:

If we don't have a vehicle pass, which it sounds like few people do...where can we put a vehicle for the weekend?

There is lots of parking available. Once you unload your camping gear you'll be directed to a parking area by the friendly staff which is a short walk or gondola ride away. Once parked you'll not need your car until the end of festival anyway.

If you're staying in a condo the management will be able to help you.

TBF has unique agreements with the city  and in return help provide spaces for cars. Think of Tiny Telluride as being car free. Well, not really, but they generously allow you a time slot for running errands, grocery store and gear unload, then, its off to your designated parking space. It could be in town, or up over the Gangula to mountain village.

By the time the fest is over, you will have been so relieved to not have your car the entire time, you'll axually be glad to see it!    LOL

I love the fact that ya don't have to drive..... you can walk everywhere. Parking is always easy. A plus to the Planet on the whole smooth adventure......... Cheers GEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ CAN WE LEAVE YET!!!!

We are stying in Ouray and will be driving in for the fest.... question is, how much time should we budget for getting parked, and taking the shuttle/walk to the fest grounds?  I know most people stay in TP, but any help of this nature is appreciated.

Once parked, it could take as little as 10 minutes to as much as 40 depending on how soon the latest bus has left your parking area. Flower

The gondola travel time from parking in Mountain Village is about 20 minutes.  Walking time from the Telluride side of the gondola station to the festival grounds is only 5 minutes (unless you have kids/strollers/crutches/a limp). 

As Tom said, the length of time to catch the shuttle from parking to the gondola station in Mountain Village can vary, as can the line length to ride the gondola (which is free, by the way).

Speaking of the Ganga-la don't forget to plan off peak times for travel.

Ingress from Big Rock Candy Mountain Village can swell to some extra

minutos, plus bikes and dogs and hot dogs and kiddies and snow and

junior mints and water bottles and big ole hats and coolers and backpacks

and beef sticks and canes and earth/tree muffins and cocktails and photo

ops and of course Hooch! (and Hoochie Mamas!) Never leave Mountain

Village running late, momma always said "festival is like a bunch of tourists,

you always know what your gonna ge-t!"


Same thing for Egress, lines swell during diner break (what is it this year,

15 freakin minutes?) and later on in the night!
