Your camping options are getting limited at this point due to speedy ticket sales.  On site camping is sold out.  Meadow Park, as Dustin pointed out, is still available and is the next-closest campground to the festival.  Olson is the only other official campground, and it's a mere 10-minute walk (there's also a shuttle).

My advice is to buy your Meadow Park camping passes pronto.  It's a really short walk from Meadow Park to the festival and it's a great place to camp.  And you can play/swim in the river, which is really refreshing on a July afternoon.

Yes, medow park is nice and your best option.  Another plus of that site is that it opens the week before the festival with your camping pass,  So, arrive as early as you can and get a nice spot not in the middle of †he baseball field.  Setting up camp on wed. has always been great for me.  Have a blast!

I too have never been to the festival and hope to go this year. I see several listings of tickets popping up on the blog and plan to grab. Which campground is most desirable as far as proximity to the fest and best accomodations for tent campin'?

On-Site camping is obviously the closest, but it get's crowded quick.  Lots of fun, though.  Don't expect to sleep much, as everyone there either plays a guitar, banjo, or mando; has a drink in their hand, or both!

Meadow Park is the next closest.  Good choice if you have children, or live in the Devner area, as they open the weekend before the fest and you can go out there, claim your spot, and set up your stuff.

On-Site isn't open until the afternoon of the Thursday of the fest, it's a mad land-grab and a free-for-all.  People start lining up to get a spot for On-Site Camping a few days in advance.
