Hi all!

Made the last minute, spontaneous decision to buy a single day ticket to TBF for Thursday (can't wait to see Mr. Prine on that stage!).

However, I will be starting my trek from Denver on Wednesday evening and was wondering if anyone has any good lodging or camping ideas for a place to me to hang my hat for the night before waking up bright and early to head into Telluride. I'm thinking it would be best to find a place an hour or two outside of Telluride.  I will have my camping gear or if anyone knows of any Airbnb ideas...Let me know!

There's the Montrose/Black Canyon Natl Park KOA in Montrose near the junction of 50 and 550.  That's about 2 hours from Telluride. Also, the Ouray KOA just north of Ouray .. about an hour from Telluride.  I've stayed at the Ouray site several times .. commute isn't bad at all and its a really nice campground.

Also, several hotels/motels in Montrose .. starting at around 80/nite.

Hope that helps.

Blue Mesa Reservoir, just outside of Gunnison if you're headed up 285 from Denver.  Several campgrounds, beautiful view of the water.  Went past on Saturday, spots easily available.

Festival!
