Hello all

Newbie here.  How is the camping at Lawson Hill?  Will be arriving on Friday afternoon to set up for the weekend shows.  Is this allowed as I only have Saturday and Sunday passes?

Really? this from the website... indicating a single day pass suffices...

awson Hill Campground
Requires single-day or 4-day festival pass

Location: Ball field located about 4 miles from the festival grounds
Opens: 8am on Tuesday, June 14
Closes: noon on Monday, June 20
Metal pans must be used under stoves to protect grass.
    Charcoal grills are not allowed.
Tent stakes longer than 6" are prohibited to protect irrigation systems.
    Quiet hours are 2am-7am.
    Serviced by free shuttle.
No vehicles are allowed on the field.
    Free parking nearby.
    Tickets: $60 Purchase Now
Does NOT include a festival pass.

Lawson Hill is a baseball field located several miles west of the town of Telluride, just to the west of the Valley Floor preservation area. As this is a large open field, there is little shade, so plan to bring your own. Bring along a bike - the Telluride bike path provides a gently rolling, paved path from Lawson Hill to the town of Telluride and the festival grounds. Top

LAD has the current info!

Get there as early as possible on Friday. Spots are tight by then, but there's always room for another friend.

Any chance you'll be meeting up with friends already camping at Lawson?

We will be the first to get there.  Trying to hold down a spot for 3 more en route from Chicago. We will set up camp for all.

That's a rather snarky response from someone asking pretty much the same exact thing in another thread.

Dave, I'm from Chicago too although I've been in Denver over 11 years now and will be in Lawson.

Look for a guy playing a banjo near a Festivus pole and you've found me.

The rush is to get a spot along the fence near trees!  If you bring your own shade it really won't matter WHERE you set up.
