I know in past years Night Grass is usually announced about now or before.  Anyone have an idea when we will be seeing the schedule come out?

Id say it's coming very soon.  I did some quick research to see when the announcements came down last year.  Here's what I found:

Initial announcement (with MANY holes yet to be filled in):  December 19

Announcement of who is NOT filling those holes:  February 26

Final lineup announcement:  March 10

NightGrass lineup and lottery:  April 3

FirstGrass lineup:  May 13

Workshop lineup:  have NOT been able to find this announcement

Yeah, it's typically sometime in early April, not before then.

The Elks Park Workshop Lineup will be announced in your program. You'll get the program after you land in T'ride and pick up your wristband at the box office. Flyer

According to Greensky's website, they are playing Saturday the 18th at the palm and Salmon's site says Friday and Saturday, and they're Saturday main stage so we can assume, Friday night grass!

Just doing some investigative work!! :)

Salmon and Greensky up against each other both Friday and Saturday night. What a conundrum! Cheers

Not to mention competition from Yonder if they have their usual Friday Sheridan slot!

Yawnder doesn't get my attention anymore, but Jeff Austin Band does.

Hopefully Planet bluegrass can see Jeff Austin deserves to be at the festival again sometime in the future.

Good news: A new Planet Bluegrass email is out today.

Bad news: "Finally, we'll be announcing details about the NightGrass shows in Telluride in our next email, later this month. "

Yes, hopefully!  ... although the JAB show I saw in Telluride in February was very subdued, not that it was bad ... in fact it was excellent, but just a notch or two more mello than I had experienced before.

I noticed that the Nightgrass page only has two in town venues listed (Sheridan and Palm).  Anyone know if they are just going with two this year and doing less shows? I didn't get to see the third venue last year but I always enjoyed the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon shows with the up and coming bands...

That would be unfortunate.
