Hello. Does anyone have any good leads on reasonable places to stay other than camping? We're a little late to the game on finding a place and it seems everything is $450+/night. There will be 4 of us. Thanks for the help.

$450 a night total or per person per night? To be honest, condos/hotels for 4 at $112.50 per person per night in Telluride is going to be the standard (perhaps even low at this late in the game).

Are these prices for Telluride only? Have you looked at Mountain Village? Otherwise, you're going to have expand your search options to other towns where you'll need to drive into Mountain Village each day.

I should have been more specific. $450/night was a total, but it's 20 miles away. In town and the Mountain Village it's north of $1,000/night.

In town is going to be expensive but $1,000 per night in Mtn Village seems really high. I guess it depends how luxurious you're looking for but I know people who have stayed in Mtn Village for much less than that. I would focus your search in Mtn Village, there is more supply and a little less demand since you have to deal with the gondola.

Also, if you're able, consider camping. It's obviously much cheaper and you won't have to deal with driving. Also you'll meet lots of interesting people and see/experience things that you won't if you're in a condo!

..staying in Mtn Village this year.. less than 200' from the Gondola.  Got it for under $400/nite shortly after getting tickets.  Found it on VRBO.com.  There currently are a few properties at $500 or less per night .. need to move fast tho ... they won't last long.
