Another of the newer artists on tomorrow morning's announce...

In the last few years, these guys have become one of the most decorated bands in bluegrass - including recent IBMA recognitions for Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year (twice), Song of the Year (twice), Male Vocalist of the Year, and Bass Player of the Year.  They'll be joining us late-morning on Friday...

Early Saturday afternoon this North Carolina duo will be singing (and pickin’) us some sweet, sweet songs - about whiskey and other truths...

One more new artist leak before we post the complete single-day lineup (with a couple more big surprises)…

After Shane’s inspiring “gospel" set on Sunday, we’ll be reveling in this high-energy trio from Quebec:
   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ptjNbT3V5U

[ We've had some great Celtic and American cajun bands over the years, but I don't think we've ever had a hot Quebecois band like this (and this will be their first trip to Colorado). They totally bring it - insanely danceable fiddle tunes with a distinctive Quebecois swing, catchy vocal songs with call-and-response verses sung in French, foot rhythms (podorhythmie) that we'll all be trying to replicate on our tarps, and virtuosic, creative arrangements that are a bit unlike anything we’ve heard before.  Here's a glimpse of the energy of their live show (https://youtu.be/KnuHaJvDl-E).  ]

Great additions Planet! Really excited about Houndmouth. Strongly influenced by The Band and John Prine (coincidence?) and man that Katie Toupin has killer solo vocals. The first time I heard Penitentiary I thought I was listening to The Band. Anyway, give em a listen before June, they put on a good show, albeit short, so FESTIVAL is perfect for them.

Since I'm just about to post the complete single-day lineup, I thought I'd mention our last 2 additions - both solo sets...

This beloved Telluride musician is going to open the Friday morning with a solo set, John Hartford-style...

And this one gives us goosebumps just thinking about it...

We're incredibly excited to welcome one of the great songwriters of his generation back to Telluride for a magical solo acoustic set on the Saturday evening...

And in addition to these full sets, we're also thrilled to share 2 special guests who will be joining us during the Festival:
- The legendary John Cowan will be in Telluride all weekend as a special guest artist
- Nicki Bluhm will be joining The Infamous Stringdusters as a featured guest

Ryan Adams solo acoustic sounds excellent! I saw him last summer for the first time since his 2008 TBF slot and I was very pleased. He put on a great show. This should be pretty damn cool.

Excellent and yep Ive got goosebumps no kidding... Ryan is the epitome of what an Artist exemplifies. Gifted any way you slice it! And Hope don't be so hard on him. So he did show he can be  temperamental,, we all can be but were not judged by thousands. Give em a break Hope.
But alas now I feel a tad sad cause, I'm not going this year......

I deleted my post, in case you hadn't noticed Miki.

Solo acoustic set. I'm sure if it's not an acoustic guitar Adams will not be let on stage.

I have faith he'll start with an apology and show us what Dustin wanted us to see in 2008.

I have to add one thing. Brian when there is a solo act on that huge stage I would love to see you pull in the stage like that video of Ryan with a table and a chair and a plant, like a living room jam. They all look so alone on that huge stage. Just a suggestion.

Yes, like others still getting over that 2008 Ryan Adams show. Ugh, I was so excited and then so totally disappointed. I have seen him a couple of times since then, all acoustic, and they have all been great shows. Optimistic he will bring A game this time.
