The FAQ website reflects the following:

"What can I bring into the festival? ALCOHOL, GLASS and VIDEO CAMERAS ARE NOT ALLOWED "

Please confirm a digital SLR camera with a video feature is permitted onto the festival grounds.  Most cameras and cell phones today have video features.  Also, are telephoto lenses acceptable?

I would like to confirm or clarify the festival camera policies in order to avoid returning to my campsite or vehicle to secure the items.

I haul around some seriously prosumer sort of gear, and have never had an issue.   It shouldn't be an issue unless it's a real videocamera...

Should be no issue as Huck has stated. I carry a Canon Digital SLR with video format but have never used it. It just seems to me that the stills capture the event better than video.  Never had any issues with telephoto lenses, in fact you will definitely want them on hand! Pirate

yeah . I carry around a canon with 100-400 lens on in the festival and have no problems .
