Dixie Chicks won the band contest in 1990 so they were billed on the stage for 1991.
They've had a lot of controversy and have never been back.
I'd like to see them there as well.

wow that is super cool info tom. ty

i've seen them about 6 times, as recently as a few years ago and they put on a hellofa great show and have the tunes to make it so!

that whole thing about burning dixie chicks records cause of what natalie said was lame.
the death threat etc...country music fans at their worst IMO

and in case you are all wondering...she's not ready to make nice...just yet!
forgive. yes. forget? NO

unfortunately they have a really full schedule already booked in June 2016 so it's highly unlikely for TBF 2016. ugh

How about Little Feat as a headliner? They last played that stage in 88' and with Bill Payne's recent history with Leftover Salmon seems like it could make sense. Doobie Brothers don't appear to have anything going on that weekend so Bill should be free and can also sit back in with Leftover for the weekend! Ferg - Little Feat - Make it happen!!! Doobie Bros could also be cool.

Wood brothers need to be there this year also!

Last night I saw The Subdudes and they absolutely tore the house down! Incredible show, very smooth with a lot of energy.  Guys that have been touring for this long, and having a Ball playing for the people. They have not, as far as I can tell, been to TBF since 1991 and would be great to have back. They will be at the Fox in Boulder on December 31st, catch them if you can! Ferg....bring me back to Telluride! Pirate

Man, I would love to see Little Feat. I'm kind of bummed that Bill is joining the doobies. He is such a perfect fit for Salmon. The times I've seen them together were incredible!

Also bummed that Bill is leaving Salmon. His playing was great and it was always a blast to hear them play Little Feat songs. I'm really hoping he still joins Salmon in March at the Stanley Hotel.
