Excellent!  Run-A-Muck is my favorite NightGrass venue.

I was able to handle it until this year when they used an amplifier to boost the vocals.
Town Park is a campground, not a nightgrass venue.
Amplified music should not be allowed after 10:00 PM to allow those that need sleep to do so peacefully.
They broke the first line in the poem I wrote back in 2001.

"Twas the night before festival
and all through the camp
everything was acoustic
no sign of an amp"

Respect the Forrest in Colorado. Birds nest and nature needs no plug. What a waste of a beautiful backdrop. The sound of the river, the howl of the wind, laughter.....turn it up! Im with you Mr Mayor

I echo sdmjake, there is no reason White shouldn't headline a night one of these years. He could tailor his set to appeal to all and he probably would sit in with anyone. Many of the artists that have played TBF have played with him or recorded in his studio. Love to see it happen TBF.

I noticed that my previous post upset a lot of people.

Let me clarify:

I am not against jam sessions in Town Park that go on into the night, and sometimes mornings.
What I am against is the usage of amplifiers past a certain point in time, let's say midnight.
Nightgrass venues in town close down at 2:00 AM and occasionally spill out into the streets until later, but are shut down by the town of Telluride due to ordinances.
Those ordinances are made for the safety and happiness of all the residences.
Planet Bluegrass also has ordinances in Town Park for the same reason.
I would like to see everyone happy, not just the partying people, and I hope you all understand that I'm not trying to curtail your partying I'm just trying to make everyone happy.

Drum circles in Town Park should also end early.  Of course, my idea of early would be very early.  I'm thinking as early as right now.

I don't know where you camp, John, that you end up with drum circles. I've never seen or heard a drum circle in Town Park. As a drummer and someone who has participated in drum circles, I have to completely agree with you that they do not belong in Town Park during Bluegrass. Though I do enjoy hearing someone with a cajón or a djembe and a pair of brushes playing tastefully and quietly at a jam if the player is good enough.

Yeah I ran into that drum circle one of the first nights coming back late. Must have been Wednesday or Thursday. Being the newbie, I was surprised they were allowed that late.
