Hey folks!  I know this question gets asked for just about every campground and scenario but...

Me and 3 of my closest friends are camping in Town Park for the first time this year (Lawson last year) and are wrestling with the idea of coming down Tuesday late (5:00pm or later) or waiting and checking out a Rockies game on Tues. night and getting into Town Park about 1:00 pm Wednesday.  If we opt for the latter will we be able to find a space for two tents together?  If there is a risk that we won't be able to camp next door then we'll come down on Tuesday.  Just wanted to get the pros' opinions.

I'm excited about getting to meet everyone.  It'll be good to put a name with a non-pixelated/bigger than a thumbnail face.

Thanks in advance!
Ben

Personally, I'd skip the Rockies game. Wink
By Wednesday morning a lot of people are showing up, and the pickings for a two tent spot are getting slim. Cheers

Well, I did say I was looking for advice from the pros.  I guess it doesn't get any more professional than you, Tom Wink  Thanks!

Ben, I agree with Tom, but it should not be a problem to find two tent spaces together in the field on the back-side of the primative area.  The field behind the primitive area is nice, just suffers from the early morning sun issues that plague Lawson.

Definitely come Tuesday.  You can always catch the game on the radio and we can get a bunch of people to reinact the play-by-play live with us running around a make-shift baseball field with beer in hand.  I want to play 1st base.  Duktape Man can be catcher because she's short.

Plus, I'd try to get there before 5:00 PM Tuesday so you can catch the oyster BBQ! Cheers

Y'all could probably do as well as the Rockies (OHHHHH! did I just say that? EEK!)

We will be bringing instruments so we won't want to be stuck way out in the outfield with no one to play with.

Hey Mark, I think I met you the other day at Lowes in Homewood.  We're heading out to the J Clyde tonight for some beers if you're interested.  Will be there around 7:00.  Brett, you can come too if you'd like...

We try to keep that whole Birmingham Krew contained in the Primitive Area... their mascot stays up all hours of the night causing nothing but chaos. Drunk LOCK YOUR COOLER!!

And don't even get me started on Blaze...  Flyer

I'll try and stop by.  I doubt Hooch can make it, but then again, Hooch can do pretty much anything.

Oh yeah!  I'm totally there!  Does J. Clydes have a fax machine?  Because if so I'll photocopy my butt here in Colorado and fax it straight there in Alabama.  It will be waiting for you at the bar.  First round of drinks is on my butt!  You'll know it's mine because it looks like uncooked bread dough.
